Happy Birthday to the Hubs!

Today is Justin's 30th birthday!  Part of me thinks that's so old, part of me knows my mom is laughing at me right now, and part of me can't believe we are already turning 30! (well...one of us) But seriously...where does the time go??  At my cousin's wedding, his dad gave a great toast, and one of the things he said was, "the days are long, but the years are short"--these words could not be more true!

So since the big 3-0 is something to celebrate, I wanted to make sure we had a party for Justin's birthday this year.  It just so happens that Tim's 30th birthday is in just a couple of weeks, so Christine and I decided it would be fun to throw a joint 30th birthday party at their lake house!

The theme--Mexican fiesta! Partly because we love margaritas, partly because mexican food is so easy, and partly because the invitations with sombreros were half price! hehe  We raided Party City right before Cinco de Mayo to rack up on all the decorations!

Janver and Michelle contributed the pinata from an authentic mexican store---probably the scariest Dora the Explorer ever! But anything full of airplane bottles is a good time! Who knew Dora wore glasses?! We didn't!

We had such a wonderful time and were so glad that some of our friends were able to make it! We get reminded a lot how lucky we are to have such great friends!

All in all, I think Christine and I threw our boys a pretty good party! We all had a blast and can't wait for the next celebration!

Walker plays in Greensboro starting Thursday so we will be able to see even more friends we haven't seen for months! Hopefully more photos to come : )
